How do I choose my wall color?

We suggest you start your search with your basic favorites. If you are fond of the yellows, for example, begin there. Find a paint store in your area as they are sure to have all the color cards available to choose from. Colors can appear different at different times of the day, so we encourage you to bring those cards home and view them in the light at different times of the day. Once you find up to 3 colors you like, have the paint store create a sample of each and then apply them to poster board.  Poster board allows you to move the color around the room and even slip it behind pictures that will be on the wall. View them at different times of the day and choose the one you like best. An important note to consider when choosing a color is to answer the question, "how do I want to feel in this space?" Do I want more energy? Do I want to feel relaxed? Based on your answer to this question, you can then view the color samples you have painted on your wall and see if that color creates that feeling.
